Allegheny Student and Intern

I am just three weeks into my internship with FGS Global, a global strategic advisory and communications consultancy. It has already been transformative. Initially, I was concerned that coming from a small school, I might not be able to compete with peers educated at Ivy League institutions. However, this concern was unwarranted. Allegheny has prepared me well. It has taught me to be a self-starter and to think about things from multiple perspectives, not to mention how much I’ve honed my writing skills.

I’m gaining a wealth of knowledge and connections. Equally perspective-shifting has been living in DC. As someone who wishes to reside here post-graduation, having the opportunity to be here this summer has been immensely inspiring.

I am so grateful for the support of the Betsy Dotson, Esquire ’74 Experiential Learning Fund, and I look forward to a time when I can give back to the Allegheny community in similar ways.
